Founded in 2006, School of Modern Skills or SMS, is a private neighborhood school offering the American Curriculum from KG to Grade 12. Our school promotes international teaching and learning methods while also prioritizing and celebrating the traditions and core Islamic values derived from our strong links to Emirati culture. With separate campuses for boys and girls, SMS offers specialty laboratories, a hydroponics garden, STREAM activity room, health clinic, state of the art sports facilities and more as part of the school’s infrastructure.
Our school is like a warm, diverse family made up of over 1700 students, 120 teachers who together represent 40 nationalities. We take pride in offering an enhanced American curriculum based on CCSS (Common Core State Standards), NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), MOE (Ministry of Education) program for Arabic & Islamic Studies, Apple Education Program, in addition to being NEASC (New England Association of Schools & Colleges) accredited.
