Scope and Functions of the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our leadership and operations team in Riyadh, KSA. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, managing school fees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting ERP implementation. Prior experience in a school environment is essential, as is strong command over IFRS, Saudi tax laws, and hands-on ERP experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including billing and fee collection.
- Oversee revenue recognition and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage payroll and statutory payments.
- Liaise with auditors and produce ad-hoc financial reports.
- MIS, Budgeting & Coordination
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings; prepare monthly MIS reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting; provide financial analysis to support school leadership.
- Monitor expenses and recommend cost optimisations.
- Act as the finance liaison for school principals and head office teams.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi taxation laws (VAT, Zakat).
- Prepare and submit returns as required and remain updated on regulatory changes.
- ERP Management
- Lead ERP implementation and integration for financial operations.
- Provide training and ongoing support to system users within the finance function.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, or similar) is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a school in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
- Proven experience with ERP implementation and financial systems.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi tax regulations, including VAT and Zakat.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with school leadership, regulatory bodies, and central teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HR systems is advantageous.
