- Scope and Functions of the Role
The Director for Student Achievement is tasked with driving impactful changes by implementing systems that support effective teaching and boost student achievement across all AlephYa Education schools. This includes responsibilities such as data oversight and management. The scope and timing of these duties will be set in collaboration with the Chief Education Officer. The Director for Student Achievement plays a crucial role in the ongoing improvement of AlephYa Education schools.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the Chief Educational Officer and other leaders to incorporate data insights into strategic planning.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance student performance.
- Group-Wide Data Oversight, Management and Analytics
- Develop systems across the Group to accurately and promptly capture academic and non-academic achievement data from each school.
- Establish metrics and benchmarks for student achievement.
- Ensure data is analysed and accessible, creating dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor data to keep Head Office leaders informed about school progress or areas needing attention.
- Provide professional development for school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders on using analysed data to improve teaching, curriculum, schools, or systems.
- Oversee the development of IT-based systems, including AI, to ensure clear display and effective use of information by stakeholders.
- Coordinate with IT and other professionals to ensure effective system operation
- Development and Implementation of Group-Wide Assessment Strategies and Practices
- Update and develop assessment systems for accurate data on student attainment and progress.
- Develop tools, processes, and professional development opportunities for teaching staff to use data effectively.
- Ensure data is used to plan learning and personal development interventions.
- Create group policies and procedures that respect each school’s unique context and comply with regional requirements.
- School Evaluation
- Evaluate teaching and learning quality against standards set by the UAE inspection service or other standards.
- Support schools in preparing for inspections or accreditation visits.
- Assist in ensuring school self-evaluation is realistic and linked to development planning.
- Design and implement program evaluations to measure effectiveness.
- Assess educational programs and interventions based on student performance data.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports for Education Boards, parents, and stakeholders.
- Other Duties
- Engage in tasks and projects as directed by the Chief Education Officer, including school-based assignments for various situations.
- Collaborate as part of the school improvement team to provide professional development and coaching based on identified needs.

- Qualifications, Attributes and Competencies

- A valid teaching qualification.
